John’s Bio
John Burnett has been an educator working in public schools for 13 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis, Masters in School Counseling from Cambridge College, and Ed.S. in Administration from Freed Hardeman University. John has served as an Elementary and Middle School Counselor, Spanish Teacher, and Assistant Principal. John was a semifinalist for School Counselor of the Year in 2022 with LSSSCA. He was also featured on NBC’s: The Today Show.
Our StoryHow CounselingwithMrB started...
CounselingwithMrB originated when John observed new educators and graduates expressing apprehension about embarking on their roles as School Counselors. Additionally, he noted signs of burnout and diminishing passion among educators in his network.
In addressing these challenges, John leverages his expertise to assist educators in developing programs, events, and interventions. CounselingwithMrB is dedicated to empowering educators globally, fostering confidence, skills, and a positive mindset for effective service in their schools and communities.
